DAY 40...More than You Can Handle
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13
Have you ever heard the saying, "God won't give you more than you can handle?" It's nonsense.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that, nor does God promise that we won't fall on hard times. Perhaps the phrase is referring to 1 Corinthians 10:12-14 that says, "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
Temptation will come and God will gives the means to escape it, because He is the means of escape.

Don't rely entirely on yourself. God also gives us people in our lives. It is Christ who strengthens us. The things that happen in our lives, the things that happen and we don't know what to do? We can only get through it with God and the people he has given us. There are moments in our lives that are difficult. More difficult than that which we can handle by ourselves. Get to know God, spend time with Him and He will be the provider of the ways through it.
You have to make the decisions still to listen to Him and to open yourself up to the right people that He has given you.
