DAY 55...Good Not To Know

"I see my path but I do not know where it leads. Not knowing where I am going is what inspires me to travel it.”
                           - Rosalia de Castro

Imagine telling a 7 year old EVERYTHING that you know. Why wouldn't that be helpful? Mostly because they don't need to know at seven years old, how many people are shot and killed on a daily basis or that North Korea threatens the world with nuclear war.

There was a show that aired in 2009-2010 called "Flash Forward." In it, the entire world went dark for two minutes and seventeen seconds. In that time, everyone who survived the blackout had a vision of where they were going to be and what they were doing six months into the future.  This caused choas, as people tried to prevent their future, or make sure that their future came true. Having knowledge of their future caused everyone to forget about living in the present and instead live in what could or could not be the future.

(above image from a tweet posted in regard to Mars Rover, Curiosity. In some cases curiosity leads to isolation. hmm)

Some knowledge is good not to have. Sometimes it is curiosity that leads people to pornography or into a world of sex obsession that was never the original intent.

At some point we have to be ok not knowing. After all, it was the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil that Adam and Eve partook of that led to the fall of humankind.  Keep feeding the good wolf and don't worry about the things you don't need to know. Whether that be your future, or other things that may lead you away from Christ.
Today's Instructions:
A. Pray for the day, for friends, for family, for enemies. Thanksgiving, Requests, Praise.
B. In the Fortify Program, Update the battle tracker. Go to week eight and check out "Check In: Securing Your Home Base" and "Do it!"
C. Go to the daily readings and read today's Scripture.
D. Journal the following: 1. What is good, healthy curiosity? 2. What is bad unnecessary curiosity?

Today's Tips: When the urges come get up. Stop. Breathe. Pray. Go find an answer to a question you've had about nature. ie. What is the ugliest bug you can find in your back yard. Seriously, go do it. (We are not responsible for you getting bit by anything, use necessary caution).

God give you strength. See you tomorrow.
