DAY 50...Who Do You Think You Are?

"It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God."
                                      - Galatians 2:20

You're no saint! In fact you're a sinner. Any time you feel like you might be destined for greatness, settle yourself down, you're a nobody.

OUCH! Have you ever felt like that? Has anyone ever made you feel like that? Well here's the truth. They might be right. No, you're not a nobody, but you are a sinner and maybe you're not saint either. Maybe you have a speech impediment. Maybe you've been known to cheat. Maybe you're small in stature. Perhaps you've got a problem with pornography. What if you run from God? Are you a little ethnocentric?
Picture
If any of those apply to you. If you have any issues whatsoever, welcome to the club of saints and prophets. Consider:

Who was Jacob? He robbed his brother of his birthright.
Who was Moses? He wasn't well spoken.
Who was David? He was small in stature.
Who was Jonah? He ran from God and didn't want to do what God commanded.
Who was the Apostle Matthew? He was a tax collector known for cheating his own people.
Who was St. Paul? He persecuted Christians.
Who was St. Mary of Egypt? She would seduce men for the fun of it.

Yet God saw potential in all of them. And He sees potential in you.

Who are you? You do x.

Let God change your heart. You have all the potential to be a saint.
Today's Instructions:
A. Pray for the day, for friends, for family, for enemies. Thanksgiving, Requests, Praise.
B. In the Fortify Program, Update the battle tracker. Check out week 8, "Reach Out" and "Relationships in Your Life"
C. Go to the daily readings and read today's Scripture.
D. Journal the following: 1. Who is a saint you admire? 2. What do you know about their lives, their past before they started living like a saint?

Today's Tips: When the urges come get up. Stop. Breathe. Pray. Go punch a pillow (not with anger) just to get some blood flowing.

God give you strength. See you tomorrow.
