DAY 50...Be the Living Among the Dead
"Christ is risen from the dead, by death trampling down upon death and bestowing life unto those in the tombs!"
BOOM GOES THE TOMB! When all seems lost, the disciples scattered, and being hunted down. They are in hiding. The news they receive is unfathomable. It is amazing. It's like leaving a game in the last inning, being down by 10 and finding out that your team won, only better.
Christ appears to the women who stood at the foot of the Cross and watched Him die. This (among many reasons) is a major reason to find the testimony of the Bible to be true. Everything that comes to pass in these times, undoes what is expected. Christ appears to WOMEN first. In those times, a woman's testimony meant nothing. Yet Christ, tells them to go and tell the apostles. (If the Bible was just trying to make something up, it would not be written in a way that gives credence to women's testimonies).
Christ's resurrection is an assurance of life. It is also why we don't give up. We don't ever give up. Right when it seems all is lost, we KNOW God will lift our life from the pit.

In the resurrection icon, we see Christ pulling Adam and Eve (all of humanity) up by the wrists. This is to signify that it is Christ's doing that we are rescued. We have to put our hands out toward Him, but He is the one who pulls us out of hell.
Finally, in the above depiction of the reactions to hearing Christ's resurrection, St. Peter proclaims he believes and that he and we are all forgiven. Believe it!
There is not a more monumental day in the history of the world than the day Christ rose from the dead. Period. Celebrate!
Death took a body, and came upon God.
O death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?
CHRIST IS RISEN!
And you are risen with Him. Feed the good wolf every bit of that every day of your life. There is no fact more important than that fact.
